Warranty language varies, but the same basic questions always matter: what is covered, what is excluded, and what proof is required.
Usually covered
Most equipment warranties are written to address problems caused by manufacturing defects or workmanship issues when the product is used and maintained as intended. Exact terms depend on the purchase agreement and the product model.
Usually not covered
Wear parts, contamination, improper installation, unauthorized changes, missed maintenance, and damage caused by abnormal operating conditions are commonly excluded from coverage.
